Free trick-or-treating runs from 5 to 8 p.m., with separate costume-contest windows.

Downtown Dunedin’s free trick-or-treating and costume celebration is Friday, October 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. Participating merchants will offer treats, with the costume contest at John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park, 420 Main Street.
The contest schedule separates age groups: children four and younger go from 5:30 to 5:50 p.m.; ages five to seven from 5:55 to 6:15; and ages eight to 12 from 6:20 to 6:40. Families and groups have the 6:45 to 7:05 p.m. window.
Progressive Arts Theater opens the evening with a 5 to 5:25 p.m. performance. The City of Dunedin and the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce present the event. Bring costumes and treat bags, and arrive for the appropriate contest window if your family wants to participate.
