Hammock Park combines five miles of trails with a playground and butterfly garden
The 90-acre Dunedin park is open from sunrise to sunset, with designated trails to protect habitat.

Hammock Park gives Dunedin families a choice of nature walks, playground time and a butterfly garden in one 90-acre setting. The park at 1900 San Mateo Drive is open daily from sunrise to sunset unless posted otherwise.
Its five miles of trails connect visitors with a natural habitat that also includes an observation platform and picnic pavilions. The treehouse-themed playground has slides, climbing features and swings, with restrooms nearby.
The city asks walkers and cyclists to stay on designated trails because unofficial paths damage native plants and disturb wildlife. Dogs must remain on a leash held in hand, except where a posted exception applies. Download the city’s trail map before exploring, especially if you want a short loop rather than a longer outing.
